# x402 Payment Protocol

Linkup now supports [x402](https://x402.org), an open payment protocol that lets you pay per request in USDC on the Base network, with no account or API key required.

### What's new

* **Pay per request.** Send USDC directly from your wallet, no sign-up needed.
* **All endpoints supported:** `/v1/search`, `/v1/fetch`, and `/v1/research`.
* **Standard HTTP flow.** Get a `402` response, sign with your wallet, resend with the payment header.
* **On-chain settlement.** Every payment is verified and settled on Base.
