This section documents Linkup's security and privacy controls for security and compliance reviews. It covers certifications, default data processing behavior, and available configuration options.

## Default scope vs configurable options

The following apply by default:

* Core security controls described in this section
* GDPR compliance for customer data
* Category-level content filtering and quality scoring on the index

The following can be configured on request or under enterprise agreements:

* **Zero Data Retention (ZDR)** — available on request
* **Single Sign-On (SSO)** — enterprise
* **Guaranteed local query processing** in a specified geography — enterprise
* **Multi-routing** for multi-region processing requirements — enterprise
* **Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC)** — selected high-tier deployments

## Query processing

Linkup operates infrastructure in the US, EU, Canada, and APAC. By default, queries may be processed across these regions based on load allocation. Local query processing is not guaranteed unless configured under an enterprise agreement.

## Index safety

Linkup applies category-level filtering and a quality scoring model during indexing and retrieval. Additional index controls are available under enterprise agreements.
