Linkup operates as a Data Processor under GDPR Article 28. Our Data Protection Officer oversees compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable data protection laws. The DPO runs privacy impact assessments, manages data subject rights requests, and keeps our privacy policies current. GDPR is our baseline standard for data protection globally. Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are available on request and align with GDPR Article 28.

Zero Data Retention (ZDR)

Zero Data Retention ensures search queries and results are never written to persistent storage.
When ZDR is enabled:
  • No query logging: Search queries are not logged or stored on our systems.
  • No result retention: Results are not retained after delivery to the client.

How it works

ZDR requests are processed in temporary computing environments where all data is held only in RAM (memory) during processing. No data is written to persistent storage. Once the search results are returned, all temporary data is automatically destroyed and cannot be recovered.

When to use ZDR

ZDR is for buyers in regulated industries or those handling sensitive competitive intelligence, where even temporary storage poses compliance or confidentiality risks. ZDR is enabled by signing the ZDR Addendum to your DPA.
