Linkup Technologies takes data privacy and security seriously. As a search API provider serving enterprise clients across financial services, consulting, and technology sectors, we’ve successfully completed rigorous vendor security assessments and maintain compliance with strict regulatory requirements. Our Data Protection Officer (DPO) oversees compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ePrivacy Directive, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable data protection laws. The DPO participates in privacy impact assessments, manages data subject rights requests, and ensures our privacy policies remain current and compliant. Linkup adopts GDPR as our baseline standard for data protection globally, adapting our approach where necessary for specific jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks. We act as a Data Processor for our clients and are prepared to execute Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that clearly define our data handling responsibilities and your rights as a Data Controller. A DPA can be signed upon request and aligns with GDPR Article 28 requirements.

Zero Data Retention (ZDR)

Privacy is built into our architecture from the ground up. Our Zero Data Retention (ZDR) option ensures that search queries and results are never stored.
When ZDR is enabled:
  • No query logging: Search queries are not logged or stored on our systems.
  • No result retention: Results are not retained after delivery to the client.

How it works

  • ZDR requests are processed in stateless, ephemeral containers on Container Apps.
  • All processing occurs in memory with no persistent volumes mounted.
  • When a container stops or restarts, temporary storage is automatically destroyed.
  • Query payloads and responses exist only transiently during processing and cannot be recovered afterward.
This architecture ensures that no data can be recovered or accessed after the transaction completes.

When to use ZDR

ZDR is particularly valuable for clients in highly regulated industries or those handling sensitive competitive intelligence, where even temporary storage poses compliance or confidentiality risks. ZDR can be enabled on demand — contact us for details.
